@wesleyt105 Also it’s worth pointing out that the Outback Bowl in 2008 was nowhere near as close as the score. Iowa led 31-0 after three quarters and South Carolina only scored against the second, third, and fourth stringers of the Hawkeyes. I think maybe Iowa and Northwestern should have switched bowls, that way the Wildcats could have beaten South Carolina and the Hawkeyes could have mopped up Missouri, giving the Big Ten two bowl wins in 2008 at least.
i take the big ten by a small amount, baised soley on experience and florida and alabama losing alot of starters. followed very closely by the SEC. then i take the Pac 10 who needs to step it up at the end of the year. the pac ten got embarassed in the bowls, but could easily end up #1. ACC is next, in football they take the SECs scraps and it showed during the bowls. Big 12 is next, they are the wild card of the year. MW is 6th and the god awful big east is last.

@UFGatorsChomp81 Iowa dominated G-Tech in the Orange Bowl, we beat Arizona who is 1 of the top teams in the PAC-10, Wisconsin had a 10 win season and beat Miami in their bowl game, Penn State beat LSU in the Capital One Bowl, and LSU was 1 of Florida’s big wins, Penn State also finished with 11 wins, Iowa State beat Nebraska, who was dominating defensive football, they also were in the Big 12 Championship and almost beat Texas, Iowa also lost to NW and Ohio St. cause of the starting QB’s injury.

The SEC is 2 team top heavy and the fact is the Big Ten is over .500 against the SEC in the BCS era not including tOSU and is barely under .500 including tOSU. You dumb fuck.

if you think the overall quality of play in the Big Ten has been anywhere near the SEC over the last 7-8 years you are one dumb fuck. Ohio State has struggled against the SEC, but they’re the only program in that league htat conisistently puts SEC quality athletes on the field

Then why is it the SEC isn’t better at beating the Big Ten? Big Ten 97-91 alltime against the SEC and during the BCS era they are barely over .500 against the Big Ten. Take tOSU out and the Big Ten is over .500 against the SEC.

il say this as an iowa fan, florida could have very well beaten iowa fairly, they were both good teams at the time, probubly equal in talent. but we will never know because of at the best incompetent, at the worst blatent favoritist calls by the refs.
